How we measure
Every piece is one of a kind, so we measure each one by hand. Here is where those numbers come from.
Jeans

LengthTop of the waistband straight down to the hem.

WidthAcross the waistband at the very top, laid flat.

HemThe leg opening at the bottom, laid flat.
Tees & tops
1
WidthArmpit to armpit, straight across, laid flat.

LengthHighest point of the shoulder down to the lowest point of the hem.
Label sizes on vintage mean little — a 2000s L is not a modern L. Measure a piece you already own and love, lay it flat, and compare.
